Snowy Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving was a snowy day here in Vancouver.
Snowy days in the city are very rare indeed.
It has been predicted that this will be the snowiest in 50 years!
Vancouverites last ice skated on Lost Lagoon 100 years ago.
This was the first time in my 3 years here I'd seen it freeze over.

The snow excited me, very much.
Both because of rarity and reminiscence.
I took the long way to work on purpose!
It was fun to drive on the snow, very fun.

That's awesome. We've not had a ton of snow here. I love looking out at a blanket of whiteness covering everything. It's so beautiful!
