Crescent City Christmas

Dad and I spent the holiday together this year.
Our time twas short so we spent it with precision.
We filled our two days with a shared love for the outdoors.
Hikes were in order; mountains, seas, trees.

Dad taught me this some time ago, now I'm a believer.
Redwoods get something like 60 percent of their water from the fog.

We love the gravel road whose shoulder becomes forest uninterrupted.

He said I could use them for reference, and I will!
They will make perfect roadside foliage for a shortcut!

Crescent City extends into the ocean on this peninsula.
We ventured here to explore a wondrous shore.
