With complex prioritization ruling our modern existence, it is easy to overlook the beauty in simplicity and our ability to actually make a positive difference in our own lives, no matter how big or small that difference may be.

After damaging 3 or more smart phones beyond use through various accidents, most notably impact trauma resulting in irreparable screens, I have resorted to the use of a nerdy yet sturdy plastic case for my Android. So far, so good. A small detail has been annoying me though. When in the screen protecting hard case, the phone cannot be charged. There is interference with the charging cable on the right side of the mini-USB port.
A small file and five minutes made quick work of the issue. Its funny how easy this was to do, yet how long this task was neglected - now fixed, the resultant satisfaction and contentedness, however minute, feeds a core human desire for accomplishment, to improve one's world and being through direct personal action.

The improvement saves me time and simplifies a process I use every single day. The work was effortless yet I still avoided doing it in favor of other things for months.
